Dangerously beautiful Allison Tartalia is READY

Allison Tartalia is an inferno of restlessly inspired energy that has been waiting to explode onto a CD of her own for a long time. Her time is here and now.
To watch Tartalia in action at any of her regular gigs in Manhattan is an unforgettable experience in original music. It's as if something divine is trying to escape from her body and knows that the only way out is through her voice. With her gorgeous fair skin and flowing blonde hair she vocally stretches and turns with each note as she goes through her repertoire from her aptly named debut CD READY .
At first listen one is reminded of a fresher adaptation of Tori Amos and the soft, delicate tones of early Baby Spice. Full of feminine woe and merriment that yearn from a now-tempered heart, every track on the CD is rich with choreographic temptation.
"Advent of You" stands out as a gem and inspires the listener to recall love at it's most powerful while "Absolutely Fabulous" (a certified favorite among gay men across Manhattan) is a groovy self-satisfied walk down the fun side of the street with the New York based artist. Tartalia's songs are mostly serious with only touches of dark humor to splash vibrancy and color onto her balanced lyrics.
"Dorothy's Reply" is an inventive answer to a well-known film "The Wizard of Oz" and Tartalia's take is cool and sophisticated.
"Let it go" is by far my favorite on the CD. When she sings the words "maybe I'm dangerously beautiful" one can't help but agree. Tartalia and her new CD are very dangerously beautiful.
