Karen has been in numerous productions around St. Louis, including performances as Dierdre in I Hate Hamlet, Hyacinth in Scapin, the Narrator/Queen in Rumplestiltskin Revisited, and appearances with many other community theater groups. Karen studied theater at Murray State University in Kentucky and the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
