Green Fence
Auditions for Green Fence will be held January 3-4 from 7-9 PM at the Theatre at St. John's, 5000 Washington Place at the corner of Kingshighway in the Central West End. Please try to show up at 7, but no later than 8. Appointment not necessary.
Auditions will consist or reading from the script, please have a song prepared(we do NOT have an accompanist but you can bring a tape), if you have a dance number at the ready that's good too.

Roles in Green Fence:
LYDIA, a playwright, mid-30s, author of the musical “Green Fence.” Lydia enjoys writing controversial material, much to the chagrin of everyone around her.
DAVID, Salim in her play, Jewish, straight, “romantic lead.”
MONTROSE, Yossi in her play, gay, the other “romantic lead” David and Montrose need to be comfortable showing affection to each other.
TIM, Lydia’s father, head of the arts commission, trying to keep his daughter in line.
DARLENE BINION, his associate, about Tim’s age, trapped in a paradigm of "good taste"
ALVIN DANIELS, artistic director of the “Denver Backwoods Theatre” who stand up for Lydia and her play, since he's putting it on
SALLY, a reporter, sassy, brassy, obnoxious
TODD YARDLEY, a playwright, gay, mid 30s, he's pretty sassy, brassy, and obnoxious as well
THUGBURGER, THUGZILLA, and THUGBUBBA, three young conservative hip-hop thugs who enforce government regulations. These guys need to rap.
Non-singing (but it can't hurt) roles.
CRITIC, a pompous elderly gentleman
WOMAN on TV, a puppet of her handlers
TINA, David’s girlfriend
CHORUS, which can be made up of many of the above listed players
Some roles can be doubled.
